On October 21, the Export-Import Bank of China held the third "Senior Executive Training Program for Export-Import Bank of China's Major Foreign Cooperative Partners" and the Zhejiang Open Economic Development Exchange Meeting under the "Belt and Road" Initiative in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is a typical enterprise of "going out" development in Zhejiang Province. Li Zhongning, Chief of Social Responsibility Office of the Group, was invited to attend the meeting on behalf of the Company, and made a keynote report on the implementation of social responsibility of overseas projects of Huayou Cobalt at the meeting.
In his speech, Wang Yuanyuan, President of the Zhejiang Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China, said the purpose of this international training program is to promote the sharing of development experiences between China and countries along the "Belt and Road" and deepen practical cooperation. We have invited governments, bilateral and multilateral organizations and other partners from countries along the Belt and Road to come to China to have extensive contacts and exchanges with Chinese government departments, financial institutions and enterprises, and to experience China's long history, culture and vigorous development process. Zhejiang Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China is willing to continue to deepen its understanding and cooperation with the governments of countries along the Belt and Road, bilateral and multilateral institutions and other partners, continue to build a platform for high-quality financial services, and promote the development of the Belt and Road to a higher quality, higher standard and higher level. Then, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce introduced the development of Zhejiang's open economy, and the Zhejiang Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China introduced the participation of policy-based financial services in the construction of "Belt and Road" and the "going out" situation of the enterprise.
At the meeting, Li Zhongning introduced the fulfillment of social responsibility in overseas projects of Huayou Cobalt and shared the responsible cobalt supply chain due diligence management practice of Huayou. Li Zhongning said that while Huayou is growing and developing, all kinds of crises and opportunities from the sustainability of global cobalt supply chains have come together. Through sharing the case of Huayou's responsible management achievements, he introduced how Huayou respond to the crisis, face up to the difficulties, and finally turn the crisis into an opportunity, which also highlight that Huayou attaches great importance to social responsibility, and has been aiming at improving the sustainable development of the Company and realizing the transparency of the supply chain, so as to promote the implementation of responsible procurement. Li Zhongning also suggested that enterprises should consider the long-term sustainable development while paying attention to their own business development, and think more, explore more and contribute more in order to achieve high-quality and sustainable development of enterprises.
With the participation of 25 delegates from 16 countries and 2 international organizations, the training program will enable all participants to share their experience in project management and operation, enhance mutual trust and interaction, tap the potential for cooperation, bring closer ties to each other, and contribute to the "Belt and Road" Initiative and the building of a closer community with a shared future for mankind.
