On July 4, a delegation led by Wang Yu, deputy director of Cooperation Department of Ministry of Commerce, visited Huayou Headquarters for investigation, and they were warmly received by Group’s president Chen Hongliang on behalf of the company. 

It’s pointed out by the deputy director Wang Yu that, the purpose of this investigation was mainly to know the typical cases and successful experience of typical private enterprises in the process of “going-out”, and compare their advantages and disadvantages with state-owned enterprises and transnational enterprises, so as to play a guiding effect on other enterprises based on the investigation results, and also provide a certain basis for formulation of corresponding policies benefiting the private enterprises. 

After hearing the report given by the president Chen Hongliang on the development situation of Huayou, deputy director Wang Yu highly praised Huayou for its practice of paying attention to compliance management and social responsibility, and this is valuable experience for “going-out”. Wang expressed affirmation to Huayou for its positive exploration in prior consideration of resources rollback and improvement of China-aid foreign project sustainability, and also put forward the corresponding guides and suggestions. Wang Yu expressed that, aiming at the problems raised and difficulties encountered by the enterprise in the investigation, Cooperation Department would actively coordinate with each side to settle, and do well in the local coordination work, practically solve the difficulties encountered by the enterprise, to promote the enterprise to carry out “going-out” better and realize sound and sustainable development. 

On behalf of the company, president Chen Hongliang expressed thanks to the leaders from Ministry of Commerce, Provincial Department of Commerce, Jiaxing City and Tongxiang City for their attention and support to Huayou, and made a report to deputy director Wang Yu from Huayou’s original intention of “going-out”, 16 years of development history, performance of social responsibility, successful practice and problems encountered in the process of “going-out”. While mentioning of taking responsibility to create cobalt supply chain and agricultural demonstration park in Congo, Chen said emotionally: “No matter where we invest, we will make contributions to the local economic and social development, and undertake the corporate social responsibility as a project. Just because of this, Huayou has taken root locally and harvested a lot”. Chen hoped that, in the future corporate development, Ministry of Commerce would give guidance and help to Huayou as always, to promote its high-quality development.
