On January 11, under the guidance of Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, “Guangdong Alliance of New-energy Automobile Power Battery Recycling Industry” jointly established by Guangdong Association of Circular Economy and Resources Comprehensive Utilization and the units at different links of power storage battery recycling industry chain was unveiled and established formally. Zhejiang Huayou Recycling Technology Co., Ltd., as one of main founders of this alliance, was elected as vice president unit. 

    At the meeting, vice general manager Gao Weiqiao of Zhejiang Huayou Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. was appointed as a “member of committee of experts of Guangdong Alliance of New-energy Automobile Power Battery Recycling Industry”, and also on behalf of Huayou Recycling, he delivered a speech themed with “to create a closed loop of power battery full-life cycle value chain”. Since its establishment, Huayou Recycling has deeply developed in power battery recycling and utilization industry, with its business including recycling of used power lithium batteries, research and promotion of gradient utilization of used power lithium batteries, research on harmless physical disassembly and automation equipment of used power lithium batteries, research and promotion of highly efficient regeneration technology of key materials, etc., and participated in the formulation of many standards on safety, environmental protection, cascade and recycling utilization of power batteries. Gao Weixiao hoped that, with selection this time as opportunity, Huayou Recycling would continuously try, innovate and realize advantages complementing in Guangdong Province, the forward position of reform and opening-up, so as to contribute the wisdom and power of Huayou to new energy automobile power battery recycling construction. 

    After Quzhou Huayou Cobalt New Material Co., Ltd. was listed into the first group of enterprises satisfying the Industry Norm on Comprehensive Utilization of Used Power Batteries of New Energy Automobile issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Huayou Cobalt was awarded by Zhejiang Commission of Economy and Information Technology as a leading unit in “new energy automobile power battery recycling of Zhejiang Province”, Huayou Recycling actively took part in the pilot work in Guangdong, Shanghai, Sichuan, and other provinces and cities, and was selected into the “new energy automobile power battery recycling pilot enterprises of Guangdong Province (first group)” in November 2018.

    Looking back the history of Huayou, we get one important experience for its great development: it has taken the protection of ecological environment as the top responsibility and the realization of green development as the long-term unremitting pursuit.
